About hygienic containers in Alaska
Alaska is the largest state in America, accounting for over half of commercial fishing in the United States, and local fishing is still a very strong branch of the state's economy, second only to gas and oil extraction. All this positions Alaska as one of the most important suppliers and processors of fish in the world. You can find many fish processing plants here that have been using insulated swimming pools in their production for years, mainly from American producers.
In July, representatives of BPLAST went to Alaska to personally talk with current and new salmon processors about further cooperation and increasing the presence of the products of the Polish manufacturer of hygienic insulated containers on the local fish processors' market.
- Alaska is a very interesting market for us, because even though we are from Europe, it is easy for us to compete with local producers, because everything has to travel here over huge distances, and these are huge costs. However, when we send our hygiene boxes from Poland, we often have lower transport costs than North American producers who deliver by land. Moreover, the meetings held in local fish processing plants were received with great enthusiasm and we expect tangible results of our visit already in the fall - said Marek Budrewicz from BPLAST.
